Sexual harassment defined

Sexual harassment based on sex is defined for this policy if any one of the following applies:

  • 受援国的雇员，负责提供援助, benefit, or service of the recipient on the individuals (complainant) participation in unwelcome sexual conduct. This form of sexual harassment is also referred to as quid pro quo.
  • Any unwelcome conduct that a reasonable person would find so severe, persuasive, and objectively offensive that if it denies a person equal educational access.

The policy applies to sex discrimination occurring against a person in the United States.  Offenses outside of the United States will be heard under the Student Conduct Procedures.

If one of these three conditions is met as decided by the Title IX Coordinator the case will be investigated and if appropriate, 根据性骚扰政策裁决.  There may be other sexual misconduct offenses that may be adjudicated using the Sexual Harassment Policy procedures, for example, 校外性行为不端事件.  Other behaviors that are offenses of the Student Code of Conduct will be adjudicated through the Student Conduct Procedures.

    The investigators carry out investigations for student and employee cases.  While team members primarily hear cases for either employee or students, they can hear any cases regardless if the respondent is an employee or student.

    Title IX Team Training
